Though we welcome all guests there are no ground floor guest rooms and there is no lift, this may make Rockvale difficult for guests with mobility problems, though we can always help with carrying bags.
No, we are sorry but Rockvale House is suitable for Adults (18 years+) only.
Yes there will always be a vegetarian option available for all meals, however if you have more specific requirements (coeliac, vegan etc.) we will normally need 24 hours notice, please let us know at time of booking.
Please order your breakfast the night before by completing the order sheets provided in your room (one per person) and leaving them on the hall table before 10pm.
Breakfast time is specified at the time you order breakfast (the night before) Usual times are 8:00, 8:30 or 9:00 Just tick the box on the breakfast sheet. Should you need an earlier breakfast, this can usually be accommodated, please talk to use the night before as we will need to be up earlier
Evening meals are available upon request, if you require a meal for your first evening, you will be sent a first night menu with your booking. Should you wish to order please contact us 24 hours before your arrival with your menu choices.
Evening meal is a single sitting at 7:00 pm.
There are two single rooms neither of which are en-suite though they both have private bathrooms which are exclusively for the use of the occupant of each single room. Larger rooms are available at a small discount for single occupancy. should you require the extra space or the en-suite facilities, see the Bookings page for details.
We welcome bookings for any period.
Rooms are available from 3:00 pm, though you may leave luggage here earlier if required. Should you need earlier access to your room please get in touch in advance and it may be possible to arrange. If you are likely to arrive later than 6:00 please let us know, as soon as possible.
Rooms should normally be vacated by 10:30am on your day of departure. Should you require, you may leave your luggage to be collected later, you may also leave your car in the car park but please let us know.
If you need to stay later, staying until 12:00 midday can be accommodated but will incur a surcharge (please phone or email to arrange in advance), staying beyond that time is only possible if the room has not been booked out to someone else, and will incur a charge equivalent to an extra full day.
Apart from the days of arrival and departure you are welcome to come and go as you please.

Rooms are serviced between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm, if you do not wish your room to be serviced please place the ‘Please Do Not Service My Room Today’ sign on your door handle, If you run out of any drinks supplies please contact a member of staff and we will replenish them for you.
Yes, details are on the breakfast sheet, please notify us of your requirements by 7:00 pm the night before.
Yes we can do a service wash, please let us have the clothes that need washing before 7:00 pm to have them ready the next morning.
Please hand any wet clothing to us and they will be dried and returned as soon as practical.
